I LOVE editing techniques. As someone who has dabbled with videography, I am a big fan on learning about the process of creating memorable projects.
The first video I watched on editing techniques did a really good job at giving examples. Some scenes are familiar to me and at the time I didn’t think too much about the technique but it’s cool to go back and be like, “oh hey they used slow-mo in this scene to do ______”
Camera angles are EXTREMELY underrated.
There is so much that can be done with camera placement and the movement of the camera during filming to give it a more cinematic or even realistic sense of emotion.
I also very much enjoyed the match cut video. It’s a technique that I’ve always been interested in trying but I’m too scared to try.
I think the concept is really cool and in the right scene can really get to the audience.
The last video had a lot of similar techniques but it was still a nice refresher!
